Daily Summary of Events

1 Feb 69:  Flight operations were not hampered by weather or enemy action.  HMM-364 flew 82 sorties for 19.5 flight hours, lifting 11.5 tons of cargo and 118 troops/passemgers.  Thirteen medevac missions carried 4 Emergency, 5 Priority and 12 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364

2 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 81 sorties for 21.4 flight hours, lifting 5.2 tons of cargo and 73 troops/passengers.  Eighteen medevac missions carried 4 Emergency, 7 Priority and 2 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.

3 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 60 sorties for 19.4 flight hours, lifting 0.2 tons of cargo and 102 troops/passengers.  Eleven medevac missions carried 24 Emergency, 12 Priority and 1 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.

4 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 182 sorties for 45.2 flight hours, lifting 54.9 tons of cargo and 73 troops/passengers.  Eight medevac missions carried 3 Emergency, 2 Priority and 1 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364  Two fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

5 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 116 sorties for 34.2 flight hours, lifting 15.9 tons of cargo and 128 troops/passengers.  Fourteen medevac missions carried 24 Emergency, 2 Priority and 10 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.

6 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 108 sorties for 34.9 flight hours, lifting 11.2 tons of cargo and 178 troops/passengers.  Eighteen medevac missions carried 6 Emergency, 11 Priority and 22 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Two fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

7 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 71 sorties for 30.0 flight hours, lifting 3.0 tons of cargo and 98 troops/passengers.  Fourteen medevac missions carried 9 Emergency, 21 Priority and 1 Routine evacuees while expending 2,250 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Four fire incidents were reported with YK-14 being shot down with 6 KIA and 1 WIA.  YK-11 received 2 rounds of enemy fire, YK-12 7/8 and YK-3 received one per aircraft from enemy fire.

8 Feb 69:  Hmm-364 flew 76 sorties for 27.1 flight hours, lifting 6.6 tons of cargo and 106 troops/passengers.  Fifteen medevac missions carried 5 Emergency, 14 Priority and 9 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.

9 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 93 sorties for 27.3 flight hours, lifting 5.4 tons of cargo and 102 troops/passengers.  Fourteen medevac missions carried 10 Emergency and 12 Priority evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  One fire incident was reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

10 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 76 sorties for 25.7 flight hours, lifting 5.2 tons of cargo and 123 troops/passengers.  Twelve medevac missions carried 5 Emergency, 5 Priority and 2 Routine evacuees while expending 100 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  One fire incident was reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

11 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 140 sorties for 32.7 flight hours, lifting 22.1 tons of cargo and 136 troops/passengers.  Seven medevac missions carried 4 Emergency, 4 Priority and 4 Routine evacuees while expending 1,000 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Four fire incidents were reported with YK-16 receiving two hits.

12 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 134 sorties for 51.6 flight hours, lifting 17.3 tons of cargo and 157 troops/passengers.  Twenty-two medevac missions carried 14 Emergency, 4 Priority and 17 Routine evacuees while expending 200 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Three fire incidents were reported with YK-4 receiving one hit.

13 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 139 sorties for 36.6 flight hours, lifting 2.8 tons of cargo and 418 troops/passengers.  Thirteen medevac missions carried 13 Emergency, 25 Priority and 18 Routine evacuees while expending 200 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.

14 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 115 sorties for 40.1 flight hours, lifting 11.7 tons of cargo and 114 troops/passengers.  Twenty-two medevac missions carried 13 Emergency, 12 Priority and 11 Routine evacuees while expending 100 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Five fire incidents were reported with YK-11 and YK-9 receiving one hit each.

15 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 222 sorties for 60.8 flight hours, lifting 30.8 tons of cargo and 188 troops/passengers.  Twenty-one medevac missions carried 13 Emergency, 11 Priority and 2 Routine evacuees while expending 150 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Two fire incidents were reported with YK-9 receiving one hit.

16 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 222 sorties for 60.8 flight hours, lifting 30.8 tons of cargo and 188 troops/passengers.  Eighteen medevac missions carried 28 Emergency, 27 Priority and 14 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Two fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

17 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 55 sorties for 18.3 flight hours, lifting 114 troops/passengers.  Seven medevac missions carried 1 Emergency, 1 Priority and 5 Routine evacuees while expending 400 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.

18 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 143 sorties for 50.7 flight hours, lifting 35.1 tons of cargo and 142 troops/passengers.  Ten medevac missions carried 10 Emergency, 4 Priority and 2 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Three fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

19 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 90 sorties for 25.9 flight hours, lifting 2.6 tons of cargo and 135 troops/passengers.  Nine medevac missions carried 1 Emergency, 3 Priority and 5 Routine evacuees while expending 150 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  One fire incident was reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

20 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 151 sorties for 35.4 flight hours, lifting 26.5 tons of cargo and 135 troops/passemgers.  Five medevac missions carried 1 Emergency, 1 Priority and 3 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  One fire incident was reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

21 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 77 sorties for 25.5 flight hours, lifting 0.3 tons of cargo and 61 troops/passengers.  Fourteen medevac missions carried 4 Emergency, 15 Priority and 26 Routine evacuees while expending 300 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  One fire incident was reported with no aircraft receiving hits.

22 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 122 sorties for 31.7 flight hours, lifting 20.2 tons of cargo and 139 troops/passengers.  Seventeen medevac missions carried 1 Emergency, 30 Priority and 52 Routine evacuees while expending 200 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  One fire incident was reported with YK-9 receiving three hits.

23 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 143 sorties for 37.4 flight hours, lifting 0.2 tons of cargo and 214 troops/passengers.  Thirty-seven medevac missions carried 18 Emergency and 14 Priority evacuees while expending 1,125 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Twenty-one fire incidents were reported with YK-5 and YK-1 receiving one hit each.

24 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 137 sorties for 46.4 flight hours, lifting 14.6 tons of cargo and 85 troops/passengers.  Thirteen medevac missions carried 80 Emergency, 9 Priority and 8 Routine evacuees while expending 1,350 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Three fire incidents were reported with YK-19 receiving two hits and YK-18 and YK-5 receiving one hit each.

25 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 199 sorties for 59.5 hours, lifting 24.7 tons of cargo and 211 troops/passengers.  Thirty-four medevac missions carried 30 Emergency, 17 Priority and 14 Routine evacuees while expending 1,120 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Five fire incidents were reported with YK-9 receiving 4 hits and YK-8 receiving one hit.

26 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 281 sorties for 79.6 flight hours. lifting 54.4 tons of cargo and 341 troops/passengers.  Eighteen medevac missions carried 38 Emergency, 14 Priority and 21 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.

27 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 119 sorties for 46.4 flight hours, lifting 19.0 tons of cargo and 223 troops/passengers.  Three medevac missions carried, 3 Priority and 26 Routine evacuees while expending 1,050 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Seven fire incidents were reported with YK-11 receiving two hits and YK-6 receiving one hit.

28 Feb 69:  HMM-364 flew 193 sorties for 58.9 flight hours, lifting 3.4 tons of cargo and 413 troops/passengers.  Twenty medevac missions carried 6 Emergency, 14 Priority and 9 Routine evacuees while expending 1,870 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance in support of the following Operation and Units:  Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364.  Four fire incidents were reported with YK-5 receiving 5 hits.

To recap the daily listing, HMM-364 flew 3,456 sorties for 1,083.4 flight hours during the period 1-28 February with an average availability of 8 aircraft, lifting 4,407 troops/passengers and 431.8 tons of cargo.  427 medevac missions evacuated a total of 981 evacuees of which 368 were Emergency, 310 Priority and 303 Routine.  A total of 11,565 rounds of .50 caliber ammunition was expended.
